Ante Post Betting Popular Once Again with Gamblers

It often does surprise me as to how the many different ways that gamblers can place a bet prove to be popular one minute, but then seem to lose favour with such punters the next minute.

As you are probably more than aware one of the most recent innovations for horse race bettors and in fact most sports bettors are something known as in-play betting markets, for when you come across any betting site or sportsbooks that does offer in-play betting you have lots of additional betting opportunities.

What is unique about those betting markets is that they do not go live until a sporting event has actually started, and when a sporting event does start then they become live and gamblers can bet on all manner of different potential outcomes in those sporting events.

However, ante post betting is once again proving popular with punters, for the way in which those betting markets work and operate is that they go live well in advance of any sporting event actually starting, so gamblers will be able for example to bet on a horse running in a major race that could be months away, and by doing so they often get much higher odds when doing so.

Might Bite Being Backed Ante Post

One major race that isn’t being run until the 26th of December 2018 is the King George VI Chase, that is a race that is run around a very challenging racecourse and it does therefore take a very good and certainly in-form horse to win it.

However, punters appear to have already found the most likely horse to win that race, and they have been betting it heavily on the ante post betting markets, in fact due to the very large volumes of wagers being placed on that horse which for reference is called Might Bite its odds have dropped down to just 5/2!

Each-Way Betting on Ante Post Betting Markets

One of the most placed types of bets that are actually played on ante post betting markets are not outright winner best but in fact they are each-way bets.

The main reason as to why punters do tend to bet each-way as opposed to picking out the winner of any race and placing an outright winner type of bet on that horses is that due to the odds being higher on the ante post betting markets they do tend to get much better value, much more so if there horse wins or gets placed in any upcoming race.
